Job purpose
To champion continuous improvement in all aspects of the business, to reduce waste and increase safety, quality and productivity.
You manage this by providing operational and advisory support to the business in the development, implementation and management of continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
Operational Strategy
Support in the local strategy for operational excellence.
Operational Performance
To identify and deliver improvement activity across the business through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking.
Serve as a coach and mentor with all business stakeholders to build a continuous improvement environment to support an ongoing change to improve culture.
To support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within the business processes.
Promote, educate, and lead team members in lean tools, such as Value Stream Mapping, Flow, Rapid Problem Solving, Total Productive Maintenance, 5S, Built in Quality, etc.
Facilitate by identification, coaching and training the reduction of the 7(+1) wastes.
Own and develop the data capture system within Roeselare site and any other software and metrics to monitor progress of CI.
Identify trends and variations from any CI monitoring system ·Encourage, lead and coordinate all SMED activities.
Identify training needs.
Identify and present potential Six Sigma projects with a good business case and support projects owned by others.
Ensure the maintaining of all CI documentation.
Provide support for the Factory Managers.
Background
Skill, knowledge and experience:
3-5 years of relevant work experience in a lean manufacturing role
Experience in completing audits
Six Sigma trained ideally Black Belt
Project management experience
Good written and verbal communication skills plus the ability to adapt for different levels
Ability to work independently
Strong Teamwork skills
Flexible approach to work
Behaviours: Specialist and leadership competences.
Language skills: Fluent Dutch and English

Het eerste gesprek
We zijn benieuwd naar jouw verhaal. In het eerste gesprek vertel je over jouw verwachtingen, motivatie, ervaring en competenties. Zelf vertellen we ook transparant welke verwachtingen wij hebben en beantwoorden we graag jouw vragen.
Online test
Als het eerste gesprek positief is verlopen, leg je in de volgende stap thuis online enkele tests af. Zo krijgen we een nog scherper beeld van jou. De resultaten van die tests bespreken we samen.
Het tweede gesprek
Zijn de resultaten positief, ga je door naar het tweede gesprek. Je maakt kennis met je mogelijke leidinggevende om specifiek in te gaan op de functie waar je voor solliciteert en het team waarmee je zou samenwerken. Zo weet je snel of alles klopt en goed voelt.
Testdag
Als alles lijkt te kloppen en je wil in productie werken, plannen we een testdag. Je werkt en loopt een dag betaald mee met je mogelijke collega’s en leidinggevende. Wil je in een ondersteunende functie werken, plannen we een dag met assessments. Zo ontdekken we of alle ingrediënten aanwezig zijn voor een succesvolle samenwerking.
Bespreking contract
Is de eindevaluatie langs beide kanten positief, doen we je een contractvoorstel. Dat kan als interim, voor bepaalde of onbepaalde duur zijn. Als je tekent, ontvang je nog een heuse onthaalpresentatie en ben je helemaal klaar om een Pauligiaan te worden. Welkom!

Voor je eerste werkdag moet je zeker geen stress hebben. We willen je vooral hartelijk welkom heten en je wegwijs maken in je nieuwe werkomgeving.
Als je leidinggevende je nog even kan missen, tonen we je graag alle facetten van ons bedrijf. Daarna neemt een directe collega je mee op sleeptouw. Je krijgt een overzicht van alle bijzonderheden voor jouw functie en maakt kennis met de werkplek en collega’s.
Bij een voedingsbedrijf zijn voedselveiligheid en hygiëne uitermate belangrijk. Maar ook de veiligheid van onze mensen is een absolute prioriteit.
Daarom volg je zo snel mogelijk enkele basisopleidingen (via e-learning) om de juiste werkmethoden aan te leren op vlak van HACCP en veiligheid.
Tijdens je eerste maanden bij Paulig werk je stap per stap het specifieke opleidingsplan voor jouw functie af.
Denk aan opleidingen om veilig een heftruck te bedienen of een veiligheidsopleiding BA4. Doorheen die periode zijn er verschillende evaluatiemomenten. Zo weten alle betrokken partijen of alles vlot verloopt. Indien gewenst, kunnen we jouw persoonlijk opleidingsplan bijsturen waar nodig.
