We are looking for a Sourcing Manager to join our Raw material & Contract Manufacturing Sourcing Team.

As Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for driving and executing sourcing activities based on category strategy, policies and market requirements. You will contribute on the development of sourcing category strategy and supplier selections; which includes negotiation with supplier’s contracts and manage supplier’s relationships. Your will be working mainly in the Tex Mex category with responsibility of a portfolio of sauce and salsa suppliers.

This role is a permanent position, the role is located in Roeselare, Belgium. You will report to Head of Sourcing, Raw Materials & Contract Manufacturing.

This selection is exclusively conducted by Progressio. 

In your role of Sourcing Manager, you:

  • Develop and implement category strategies and plans in line with group-level strategies, policies and guidelines.
  • Lead supplier selection, relationship, partnership and negotiation
  • Continuously evaluate suppliers’ performance based on e.g. cost, quality, service, availability, reliability, sustainability and flexibility.
  • Conduct sustainability audits for own suppliers together with the lead auditor
  • Identify, realize and track savings opportunities.
  • Monitor & benchmark market trends and best practices
  • Work will all relevant internal stakeholders e.g. Finance, NPD, Marketing and Supply
  • Act and live according to the Paulig Group’s values: Grow together, Strive for excellence and Stay curious.

We expect you to have

  • University or Bachelor degree preferable in Engineering or Economics
  • 3+ years of sourcing experience in category sourcing
  • experience in driving change
  • excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • strong drive for results
  • experience in project management and leading virtual teams
  • international working experience

Furthermore, you

  • are used to working with change management preferably in matrix organizations and have strong collaboration skills
  • are a team player with a flexible can-do attitude and a curious mind
  • you like working with different cultures
  • are relationship-oriented and enjoy engaging other people.
  • see the bigger picture and have very strong analytical skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Spanish is seen as a plus.
  • will be located in Roeselare, working in truly international environment
  • are willing to travel

The first interview

If the first interview went well, the next step involves completing several tests online at home, which gives us an even clearer picture of you. We then discuss the results together.

The second interview

If the results of the test are positive, you then proceed to the second interview. There you will meet with your potential manager to discuss specifically the position you are applying for and the team you would be working with. This way you will quickly know if everything fits and feels right.

Test day

If everything seems to fit well and you want to work in production, we then plan a test day where you will work and spend a paid day with your potential colleagues and manager. If you want to work in a support function, we plan a day with assessments. This way, we can determine whether all the ingredients are present for a successful collaboration.

Contract discussion

If the final evaluation is positive on both sides, we will make you a contract proposal. It can be either interim, fixed-term or indefinite. If you sign, you will receive a real welcome presentation and you will be all set to become a Pauligian. Welcome!

Therefore, you need to follow several basic training courses (via e-learning) as soon as possible in order to learn the best practices in the field of HACCP, safety, and prevention.

During your first months at Paulig you will be completing step by step the specific e-training plan for your position.

For example, training to safely operate a forklift or BA4 safety training. Throughout this period, there are several evaluation moments. This is to ensure that all parties involved know that everything is going smoothly. If you want, we can adjust your personal training plan where ever necessary.
